Stereoscope

A binocular stereoscope, also known simply as a stereoscope, is a gadget first invented in the 1800s for viewing binocular stereoscopic imagesets: biscopic flat-focus stereoscopic images.

In 1844 David Brewster created a stereoscope that was capable of taking 3D photographic images.[1]
