ARKit is a framework from Apple for creating augmented reality apps, mostly for iPhones and iPads. It was released in the year G2017 and has received a number of updates since then.
ARKit has plane detection.
ARKit can use the LiDAR sensors in the iPad Pro (2020) and the iPhone 12 Pro for faster startup times.
