The augmented reality industry is an industry that consists of the companies and organizations that provide augmented reality headsets, software, services, and infrastructure.
The augmented reality industry comprises display manufacturers, ODMs, optical design houses, and software developers.

Augmented reality was mostly in the academic realm until the mid-2010s. Commercial headsets started to be produced by Magic Leap and Microsoft, but there was a large augmented reality winter right after the COVID pandemic, where most funding dried up.
Funding in the mid-2010s was in the billions of dollars.
