CREAL's near-eye sequential light-field projector with correct monocular depth cues is a light field projector described in U.S. Patent 11,960,083.
It is a light field projector that consists of two main parts: a light source array and a spatial light modulator (SLM).
The light source array consists of a bunch of illumination point lights that illuminate one by one.
For each point light that lights up, the SLM has a different pattern.
Construction[edit]
According to the patent, the invention can be produced with a point-light array made of a bunch of separate red, green, and blue LEDs. The LEDs must be covered in a mask containing an array of pinholes.
Alternatively, a laser can be steered instead of having a lot of individual LEDs.
