Cognitive load

Cognitive load refers to an amount of mental effort given by one person when solving a problem.

Cognitive load can be lowered by using 3D technology. Humans evolved to navigate a 3D world. When someone looks at a 2D blueprint of a house, his brain has to work hard to "extrapolate" that into a 3D mental image. 3D technology does that "translation" for him, freeing up mental energy for actual problem-solving.
