Digital Light Processing (DLP) is a line of display components from Texas Instruments.
It is centered on DMD. The DLP product line includes DMDs, power management ICs, and display controller chips.[1]
TI's DLP products are primarily intended for room-scale projector units, but can be theoretically used for head-mounted displays instead.
The DMDs are categorized by size.[1]
TI's product codes have two digits that correspond to the size of the DMD. For example, DLP20__ refers to a 0.20 inch diagonal DMD, and DLP67__ refers to a 0.67 inch diagonal DMD.
DLP DMD Evaluation modules (by size)[edit]
Name explanation[edit]
In the part number DLPDLCR160CPEVM for example, the components are typically:
- DLP = Digital Light Processing (TI's core technology)
- DLCR = DLP LightCrafter (The specific EVM family/platform name)
- 160CP = The specific DLP Chipset or Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) used in the module (e.g., DLP160CP)
- EVM = Evaluation Module (Indicates it's a development board)
Small units[edit]
- DLPDLCR160CPEVM
- DLPDLCR2000EVM (DLP LightCrafter Display 2000 Evaluation Module)
- DLPDLCR2010EVM-PCB (Discontinued)
- DLPDLCR230NPEVM
Larger units[edit]
- DLPLCR4500EVM
- DLP4710EVM-LC
- DLPDLCR471TPEVM
- DLPLCR65EVM
- DLPLCR67EVM
- DLPLCR90EVM
