Fly True Technology

Fly True Technology (FTT) is a software technology developed by Polhemus that enables a 3D tracking system to compensate for magnetic distortion.[1]

It compensates for distortion caused by metal objects in the space where the 3D tracking system is tracking.

It is built into the Viper line of products.

As of August 2025, all of the patents on FTT are expired and no longer in force.
