Fly True Technology

Fly True Technology (FTT) is a software technology developed by Polhemus that enables a 3D tracking system to compensate for magnetic distortion.[1]

It compensates for distortion in the space where it is tracking caused by metal objects.

It is built into the Viper line of products.

As of August 2025, all of the patents on FTT are expired and no longer in force.
