The VFX1 is a VR headset from Forte, Paul Travers' company.[1] It is an example of a VR headset before the Oculus boom.
It is also known as the VFX1 Headgear.
It uses two LCDs from Kopin.[2]
Final assembly had been done in the USA.
Its field of view is 45 degrees diagonal.
It has a 3DOF tracker from Honeywell built in.[3]
It has headphones from AKG.[4]
Supported games[edit]
It supported a variety of PC games, including Quake, Descent, and Flight Unlimited.[5]
