GP-9 is a line of computer input devices from Science Accessories.

The GP-9 uses acoustic tracking. Therefore, certain environmental conditions interfere with digitizer performance. Common conditions that can cause interference are:

  • Sonic burglar alarms
  • Sonic automatic door openers
  • Temperature changes or hot/cool air blowing across the work surface
  • Strong winds blowing across work surface
  • Direct sunlight or a heatlamp on the work area
  • The sound of jingling keys will cause the digitizer to pause and wait for the jingling to end.
