A head-fixed display is a display that is fixed in a position relative to a user's head. Head-mounted displays and boom-mounted displays are types of head-fixed displays.
A head-fixed display's mass can be held by something other than the user's body. A head-fixed display can be boom-mounted, ceiling mounted, or desk mounted.
