InterSense
InterSense is a company that has made spatial tracking systems. It was founded by Eric Foxlin in about 1995.[1] InterSense was bought by Gentex Corporation in 2011, then Gentex sold InterSense to Thales in late 2012/early 2013.[1][2][3]
InterSense is a pioneer in hybrid tracking systems, using inertial sensors combined with acoustic tracking.
The company was in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Its products include the IS-600 Mark2 and the IS-900 line which is compatible with MiniTrax devices.
InterSense's first product offering was the IS-300 series.
InterSense's products have been assembled in the USA from mostly imported components.[4]
InterSense's originally developed technology was intertial only. Later commercial product releases typically were hybrid tracking systems, incorporating inertial with acoustic or camera tracking.

Intersense IS-600, IS-600 Mark 2, and IS-900 are built around an architecture where the acoustic system determines a position and an orientation value for each tracked object, which is then fused using sensor fusion with the orientation from the IMU.[6]
