MicroVision is a company that produced laser beam scanning display products for near-eye displays.

MicroVision was founded in 1993.[1]

It was based in Bothell, Washington.

MicroVision laser scanning displays are in the HoloLens 2.[2]

MicroVision, Inc. is an American company that develops laser scanning technology for projection, remote sensing, image capture, and lidar. MicroVision's display technology uses a micro-electrical mechanical systems (MEMS) scanning mirror with red, green, blue, and infrared lasers, optics and electronics to project and/or capture images. The company sells and licenses its products primarily to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Microvision is a product of University of Washington research, founded in 1993 to commercialize Virtual Retinal Display technology, in which images are drawn directly on the viewer’s retina.[3]

David Hunter was an Executive.[4]

MicroVision was founded by Tom Furness, Richard Johnston, and Joel Kollin.[5]

MicroVision raised $3.5 million in its initial fund-raising effort.[4]

Microvision was part of the virtual cockpit optimization program.[6]

In the year 2000, Microvision Inc. formed a majority-owned subsidiary called Lumera Corp.[3]
