PR2

The PR2 is a prototype head-mounted display by Palmer Luckey.

It came after PR1.

It uses a Vitrolight 5.6" 1280x800 TFT LCD module.

Specifications[edit]

  • About 120 degrees diagonal field of view[1]
  • 100 percent binocular overlap
  • 640x800 resolution per eye
  • Diffusion filter[1]
  • VGA and USB connections
  • 3DOF motion tracking[1]
  • Input video connection is side by side[1]

Optics[edit]

  • Palmer Luckey cloned the LEEP optics for the PR2[1]
  • Focus is set at 12 feet[1]
  • The lenses are acrylic.
  • Palmer Luckey made the lens holding assembly using a vacu-form mold, same way the original LEEP shell was made.[2]
