Perspective graphics

Perspective graphics are graphics that are generated using 3D data structures, rendered to a user at a specific viewpoint and direction within the structure.

They can be projected onto 2D screens. Perspective graphics for 2D screens rely on a mathematical projection process.

Perspective computer graphics began in force with Ivan Sutherland's work, then his founding of the first graphics research group at the University of Utah.

Perspective graphics computer hardware became affordable for individual use in the 1990s with the development of single-chip graphics accelerators for 3D workstations and gaming.
