Tobii is a company that makes eye tracking systems.

Eye tracking[edit]

The technology measures a person's point of gaze and eye movements.

Tobii eye trackers generally use a method called Pupil-Center Corneal Reflection (PCCR):

Infrared Illumination: The eye tracker emits near-infrared light toward the user's eyes.

Reflection Capture: High-definition cameras within the device capture images of the eyes and the reflections created by the infrared light on the pupil and the cornea (the glint).

Calculation and Mapping: Advanced algorithms process the relative positions of the pupil center and the corneal reflection to calculate a 3D model of the eye. This model is used to precisely estimate the point of gaze—where the user is looking—on a screen or in a real-world environment.
