A varifocal headset is a headset that solves the vergence-accommodation conflict.

Meta Reality Labs has prototyped varifocal headsets.

Varifocal headsets have a manual adjustment slider for changing the focus of the displays.

Some prototypes have been made that have their focus automatically change based on eye tracking.

Headsets may have a position sensor within that sends an attached computer the current focus distance, and the computer can use that data as input for rendering.
