VividQ is a company in England developing hologram-generation algorithms for near-eye holographic displays. It operates in the field of computer-generated holograms, including digital holography.

VividQ's demo unit used a spatial light modulator driven by a laser.[1]

As of the year 2025, most of VividQ's internal units use LCOS, rather than DMD.[2]

Its displays have a low field of view.

A demo of VividQ's technology was shown using a TI DLP evaluation unit, with a maximum field of view of about 20 degrees. VividQ is doing binary amplitude-mode holograms. This is evident from its use of TI's DMDs, which are binary amplitude-mode components.

VividQ used a TI DMD670S for one of its units.[3]

VividQ has advertised its technology in media using a DLPLCRC900DEVM.[4]

VividQ worked with Dispelix to create holographic waveguides.[5]

History[edit]

VividQ was founded by Darran Milne, who had seen research in holograms while attending Cambridge University.[2]
