Technology[edit]

Vuzix makes their waveguides using a surface relief method, based on a process developed by Nokia.[9]

The combiner in the Vuzix Blade is made of two waveguides pressed together: one for the blue-green and one for green-red portions of the visible spectrum.[9]

As of the year 2010, most of the microdisplays Vuzix used in their products were sourced from Kopin, according to their SEC 10-K report.[10]
