An augmented reality headset (AR headset) is a type of head-worn gadget that enables the wearer to have an augmented reality experience.
Examples of AR headsets are the Microsoft Hololens, the Magic Leap 1, and Project North Star.
An AR headset in a glasses form factor is called AR glasses.
In the Magic Leap and Hololens, the image only takes up a small part of the piece of glass for each eye. There is typically a small square in the center that is the actual display.
