Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) is a U.S. military project to create an augmented reality headset for soldiers.
The original IVAS was a military augmented reality headset developed by Microsoft based on the HoloLens 2. The original headset caused eye strain, headaches, and nausea, and soldiers complained about the limited peripheral vision.[1]
Doug Bush is a big fan of the IVAS.
After Microsoft's development stopped, Palmer Luckey's company Anduril began to subcontract with Microsoft to develop a new headset under the program.[2]
