Isomorphic interaction
Isomorphic interaction is a type of computer input where the movement of a person's hand or finger corresponds directly to movement of a displayed cursor in a virtual space. It can be done using electromagnetic 3D tracking systems. It is one type of spatial computing.
It encompasses isomorphism of acceleration with modified virtual physics, for example, a mouse pointer with acceleration. Strict isomorphism to only position and rotation is limited to specific products like drawing tablets.
Isomorphic interaction uses a strict geometric isomorphism (one-to-one mapping) between physical and virtual objects.[1] For example, the interaction provided by a Phantom Premium 1.5 6DOF device. You move the device in a specific motion, and the cursor in the virtual world moves in the same way.
